Hello and welcome to the official website of 287 (Stenhouse) Squadron, Air Training Corps. We are based in the Saughton/Stenhouse area of Edinburgh.
I have been with 287 Squadron for 8 years, first as a Cadet, rising through the ranks to Cadet Warrant Officer, and now as a Civilian Instructor. As such, I can personally give testimony for the tremendous opportunities which 287 Squadron and the ATC as a whole provides, but don't just take my word for it. Look round our website, or come and visit us and see for yourself.
The ATC is thriving. With more that 900 Squadrons around the UK, we are one of the largest and best youth organisations in the country. We provide young people between the ages of 13 and 18 with opportunities they'll never find in any other youth organisation, and they'll make a host of new friends while they're at it.
I hope you find this website useful, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

287 Squadron has a very proud history stretching back even further than the formation of the ATC. Check our history section to find out more.
Are you an ex-Cadet? If so we would love to hear from you about your time with the Squadron. As 287 Squadron has always been a thriving Squadron it is good to hear the different things people have got out of the organisation. We are also trying to build up an accurate picture of the Squadron's past. If you can help with that, please get in touch.
Today, 287 Squadron is still one of the most active in Edinburgh. We parade approximately 20 Cadets twice a week, and we always have a good turnout for events. We make our voice heard, despite being a modest size.
